Leaders and stakeholders from across NRT-member community conservancies convened in Isiolo for a three-day workshop on the Northern Kenya Rangelands Carbon Project (NKRCP), marking a key step in preparing for the rollout of the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process at the grassroots.

Despite this, the overwhelming message from the Council was one of confidence and optimism. Members were unequivocal that the benefits of the carbon project are real and visible across communities, and that the working relationship between the Council and the Secretariat continues to grow stronger and more positive.
